The Cottage
Situated just yards from Loch Fyne, this spacious, detached cottage is perfect for special occasions and family gatherings - or even couples looking for a special honeymoon location. Sitting towards the end of 'The Avenue', Avenue Cottage enjoys spectacular elevated views out over the loch. The cottage has just been tastefully refurbished to provide a cosy and comfortable space to enjoy for the duration of your holiday.
The living room has huge picture windows and patio doors, allowing you to make the most of the views, and also open the doors up to allow the outside inside on nice summer days!
Downstairs also features a large open plan kitchen/dining area, with snug (sofa and second TV), two spacious double bedrooms, two bathrooms (both showers), and a boot room as you come in. Heading upstairs, you'll find a further two bedrooms (double, and very spacious kingsize master), plus a kids room/dressing room off the master, which can be made up with 2 additional sofa beds on request.
The cottage is located in the outskirts of the village - only 10-15 minutes walk to the various local pubs/restaurants, including The George and their Garden Bar which hosts locally renowned live music events throughout the summer months. The Pier is also a 15 minute walk - with the monthly Inveraray Farmers' market (check InspireInveraray Facebook page for details/dates - normally the third Saturday of the month).
Pets are welcome - maximum of 2, charged at £10 each per week. We would ask that you keep them downstairs and off soft furnishings (or bring suitable blankets to cover them).
There is parking for multiple vehicles in the private driveway.
The Area
Just an hour and a half from Glasgow, this cottage is ideal for a self-catering break away from it all - without having to drive too far. Inveraray offers a whole host of great places to eat and drink, along with some of the best visitor attractions in the area. Take a trip to Inveraray Jail or Castle; lunch in Brambles; then walk up to Dun-na-Cuaiche - the tower that watches over the village; have dinner in The George, or join one of their events through the summer; then watch the sun set over Loch Fyne.

Sitting on Loch Fyne, Inveraray was built in the mid-1700s by the 3rd Duke of Argyll on the site of an earlier fishing village.
It is a popular, bustling village with lots of independently owned craft and gift shops, and a number of excellent places to eat and drink - all within a stone's throw of the cottage. The George and Brambles both serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, and are some of our favourite places to eat, along with Samphire and Ocho!
There is plenty to do without having to travel far - Inveraray Castle (owned and occupied by the Duke & Duchess of Argyll) and Inveraray Jail are within the town itself. Argyll Adventure (horse riding, paintball, archery, laser tag, etc) is situated in the outskirts of the town, and Auchindrain Museum is just a 6 miles south. There are many great walks in the local area too.
With a good central location, it is around an hour up to Oban (with ferries to the various islands of the Inner & Outer Hebrides) - and it is also well placed for exploring both Kintyre and the Cowal peninsula.
