The Log Cabin & Area
Sleeping 4 guests in 2 bedrooms, this traditionally built Norwegian log cabin on the edge of Loch Avich offers a unique, cosy stay. With views out to Loch Avich from the patio, where could be better to enjoy your morning coffee?!
The chalet is built to full residential specification, with a new heating system installed in Spring 2022 - so it is cosy all year round. It also offers WiFi so that you are able to keep in touch easily.

Around 6 miles from Kilmelford, and 4 miles from Dalavich, it enjoys a peaceful and secluded location - perfect if you're looking to just relax and get away from it all.

Located beside Loch Avich, the cabin is perfect for fishing - permits are available locally for both Loch Avich and nearby Loch Awe.
It is also popular with those bringing kayaks/sit-on canoes, or SUPs. Kayaks are available to hire locally at Dalavich - details are in the welcome folder.

The property enjoys regular visits from pine martens, red squirrels, ospreys and even the occasional eagle! Guests have got many good pictures/videos from the property, os it is always worth bringing your camera!

With a good central location, the closest larger town is Oban, where you will find a large selection of shops, attractions (including a distillery) and restaurants. Oban is known as the 'Gateway to the Isles', and you'll find ferries to various islands depart from here - including Mull (Craignure).

Pets are very welcome - charged at £10 each, per stay (please let us know in advance that you're bringing pets). Normally a maximum of 2 - please contact us for more than 2.
